Vision and Mission

Vision and Mission

1. Vision

The Grama Panchayat's vision is a grand dream regarding what the region should become in the future.

  • Objective: A long-term goal to transform into a model village that has achieved comprehensive and sustainable development, ensuring a better life for all citizens.
  • Examples: Complete sanitation and a healthy living environment.
  • An eco-friendly village that preserves greenery and abundant water resources.
  • A poverty-free society that ensures education, healthcare, and employment for all.

2. Mission

The mission clarifies what the Panchayat is currently doing—or how it is functioning—to achieve its vision.

  • Objective: Defining key goals and operational methods to realize the vision.
  • Examples: Participatory planning: Formulating development projects by identifying the needs of the people through ward assemblies and Gram Sabhas.
  • Efficient services: Making Panchayat services quickly accessible to the public through online systems and transparent administration.
    • Infrastructure Development: Upgrade the standards of roads, drinking water facilities, electricity, public educational institutions, and health centers.
    • Sustainable Livelihood: Ensure local economic growth by promoting agriculture and small-scale industries.
    • In short, the vision (where to reach) provides a destination, while the mission (how to get there) outlines the course of action to achieve that goal.
